About Think Tank IGO

A proposal for shared knowledge and public benefit

Think Tank IGO is being developed as a proposed intergovernmental advisory organization. Its purpose is to connect socioeconomic challenges with independent expertise, evidence and constructive international cooperation.

The initiative is at a proposal stage. Government membership, formal establishment, headquarters and the governing instrument remain to be discussed and agreed by prospective participating states.

Governments and public institutions are the primary focus. Civil society, communities, experts and responsible organizations may contribute knowledge or raise challenges within a lawful civilian advisory mandate.

Our mission

To support better public decisions by connecting governments and institutions with independent knowledge relevant to socioeconomic challenges.

Our vision

A trusted intergovernmental forum where knowledge is shared responsibly, sovereignty is respected and advice serves people’s long-term wellbeing.

A proposed intergovernmental structure

The draft model envisages an assembly of member states, a governing council, an executive secretariat, specialist advisory councils, and independent ethics and audit oversight. These bodies do not yet exist and would require formal agreement through a founding instrument.

Our principles
